It's never MS!

Do you watch "House"? My family and I always get a good laugh from it because damn near every single episode, when House and all his minions are pondering what mysterious disease their poor patient has, MS is always thrown out there.

"Could be Lupus...Could be MS!"

And yet, as far as I know, the problem has never ended up being diagnosed as MS. Why not? MS is perfect for that show with it's numerous, mysterious symptoms...

You'll see... you heard it here first, folks. One of these nights you'll be watching that show and the disease in question will end up being MS. Then we'll see if Dr. House can find the cure for it!

And THAT will be damn good TV.

Too bad House isn't a real doc! That would be great if he came up with a cure!!!

Can you believe I've never seen that show? I'll have to start watching now just to see if they mention MS LOL

My Dad is a physician and HATES watching House. He says it couldn't be further from reality, that hospitals just aren't like that and anyone with the personality of Dr. House would most definitely NOT be practicing! Ha! Well, I get a good kick out of the show every now and then. Are you getting ready for the LOST season finale? I think we should throw a geocaching/Lost finale event! (HINT HINT for any geocachers reading this)

I can't watch it. I WANTED to like it, I really did, coz I'm a GINORMOUS Hugh Laurie fan... and find it amazing that he can sound SO American. But it just kinda creeps me out somehow. Reckon I've been living with a hypochondriac too long, lol!

Maybe I'm getting TV'ed out, or maybe this season just isn't measuring up, but I'm not loving LOST as much as I used to. But I'm still watching... almost getting like a wreck, you don't wanna, but you just gotta. ϋ

That show does the same things with Kawasaki disease - which I had as an infant. It's never Kawasaki disease though.

Marc, believe it or not, I've had an experience with a doctor that had the bedside manner of House. he was awful, but he was a very good surgeon. My father couldn't eat and was on a feeding tube. The doctor walked in one day eating (not just holding) a sub. He was talking and chewing at the same time. My mom went ballistic and kicked his ass out of the room!

And yeah, Sara, I've heard Kawasaki come up a few times, too....one day the diagnosis will actually be one of "our" diseases!

Sophie, I love Hugh Laurie, too...even his little part in Sense and Sensibility. He would make the perfect Sherlock Holmes...

Ann, yeah, you gotta watch it a couple times. It grows on you.

My husband watches waiting for it to be MS so he can learn something that would help me I think. He tries so hard to fix me and is so addicted to House. ANYthing that goes wrong he immediately starts going through his 'house impression' of an episode he saw to try and diagnose it! :)

But yeah, it is never MS and I can't wait to see one that is!
