You can take the GRITS out of Florida, but you can't take Florida out of the GRITS!

My Baby's 3rd Halloween

This Halloween was the first holiday that my 3 year old really got psyched up for. It was fun to see and hear that excitement in the house again.

His costume this year was simple, but I'd say about 98% of the houses we went to knew who he was dressed as. Can you tell?

Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter!!!!
And this was his haul (he actually took this picture himself)

It's been very hard to keep him away from all that candy. I should throw some out each night when he goes to bed, or bring some to work. His poor teeth can't handle all that sugar. And I can't handle the sugar high he gets after eating it!

Let's see...here is a picture I took of the Plymouth Congregational Church in Coconut Grove. It's very old and very beautiful. This is a hot spot for weddings. Why did I really go there? To find a geocache, of course!

There is a story about that door, but I can't remember it right now. I'll have to look it up and edit this post later.

TGIF!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend. We're getting a cold front this weekend...it's supposed to get into the 60's! WooHooo!!! Time to break out the sweaters and jackets!

...... and the alligator to boot! Yay, I guessed it right. Can't wait to see him again. BTW was Steve Irwin his idea for a costume?

No, it was my idea. I'm sure next year he'll voice more of an opinion as to what, or who, he wants to dress up as!

Paula, I had no idea! Christy was married there, too.
