A view of the side of my neighbor's house (which is now deserted since they shipped the 98 year old woman to an old folks home), my "yesterday, today and tomorrow" plant, my plumeria, alamanda and various palms. I enjoy the view out my kitchen window. I can see anybody driving down the street or jogging by. I stand here every morning to assess the weather and decide how I should spend my day.
Speaking of my old neighbor lady, this is her awesome barbeque pit. I have never, ever seen it used, but I love it. It reminds me of the "I Love Lucy" episode where Lucy loses her wedding ring when she's building their pit. This is part of my view when I look out my backdoor and to the north a bit.
I wonder if I could somehow take it apart and move it 10 feet into my yard? I wish, because I know when her house is sold, whoever buys it will demolish it and, I'm sure, the pit right along with it.
Well, that's about it. My views aren't breathtaking. I live in the city. In a neighborhood. At least I don't live in a cookie-cutter subdivision where all the houses are the same and they have no yards. I have a yard and no one in the world has a house just like mine. I wish when I looked outside, I saw green mountains or big open pastures or the ocean or a wild scrub area. But I don't. But what I see is mine and I love it, tall grass, scattered toys and all!

I hope they don't destroy the barbecue pit.
You should just sneak over there and use it - since no one lives there.
I'll check into the neighborhood B&B and you leave the coals glowin'
That is quite the barbecue pit, I think I'd be tempted to use it now that the house is vacant! ;-)
go one dismantle it and transfer it, i dare ya! you have a lovely big yard
My grandmother's old house had a small pit that she never used but I know that when my mom was a kid my grandfather used it.
You're yard is nice! You could easily make your own little scrub area. Put some sand pines in and wa-la, a south Florida protected area!
Great pictures. I think I'd be very jealous every time I looked at that bbq pit!
My yard used to have that stuff all over the place. ZBoy's outgrown it now and we left it at the other house when we moved. THe new people had kids too!
That outdoor fireplace is to die for, I love it!
You are right - that BBQ is gorgeous and everyone before me is right, also - use it or dismantle it or just use it as a pattern. If you give a 3 year old enough bricks and tell them not to stack them up like that, they will do it! Good luck.
That BBQ pit is awesome. I wonder if I could tell Puppy to construct one? I have lots of Little Tikes, too & I love it that way.
Well, you are all giving me thoughts...If it's a tall feasible, I may just talk to her daughter and see if I can have it - IF I can move it!
That is a great outdoor fireplace/bbq pit! I remember the Lucy episode you spoke of.
You have a lovely view. Having children's toys in the yard, is joyful!

Yes, that is a nice BBQ pit! wow.
Looks very tropical and warm there.
"But what I see is mine and I love it, tall grass, scattered toys and all!"...what a wonderful attitude. Sort of blooming where you are planted.
Ahh, Florida always look so green. Man I love that BBQ setup, I bet there was some good times had around there in it's day. Sad that it most probably will get demolished.
Oh you can move it...one brick at a time, get the little ones to help, they might think it is a game!
Oh how I miss FL's Trees!! I love your views! That outdoor BBQ is amazing! I hope you get it!
Yeah you totally should have a few BBQs using the next door neighbour's BBQ. How funny. If I did that I would be nervous the whole time though and probably be uunable to eat anything!
I love the bar b que pit. My uncle had one just like it when he lived in California and I remember visiting him and him using it!
Not everyone has wonderful views of scenery and such what matters is that you are happy with your home!
Wow! I love the pit!! I would buy a house just for an awesome feature like that. Hmmm...Florida? Maybe I need to consider it!
Maybe you should ask them if you could buy the little strip of land that has the pit on it?
We had a sweet little old lady living next door to us, and she had one of these pits (tho not as nice), and sure enough - the new owners tore it down.
Love that bbq. WOW
That is some BBQ it's so big. You don't see anything like that in the UK.
