Fun Monday!

For this week's Fun Monday "we are challenged with doing a good deed. " by Nikki.

Well, I've started raising money for Wildlife Warriors, an organization founded by the late Steve Irwin. November 15th is Steve Irwin Day and all supporters are encouraged to wear khaki that day and/or to camp out somewhere, even if it's in your own backyard. We'll be doing both, probably camping out somewhere in the Everglades or Big Cypress Preserve.

My goal for donations was $200, which I succeeded in just a couple days! But I have until November 15th to raise as much money as I can. The money will go towards helping to save wildlife around the world and their habitats.

Steve Irwin's passion for life deeply touched my family and I. I've made it one of my lifelong goals to do whatever I can to help his dream continue. Eventhough I never met Steve, I felt like I knew him. His death came too soon and I, along with so many others throughout the world, miss him terribly.

How nice! The Crocodile Hunter rocked. It was such a sad story, but I'm sure if he had to go he was glad to go doing what he loved.

This is a really worthwhile good deed. I loved watching Steve Irwin's programmes and I think his young daughter is awsome.

oddly, I felt like I knew him, too.

When he smiled and made silly remarks.... I wanted to be there and laugh with him.

I hope you soon see great things from your involvement in this project.
