I have been working on a Bucket List of sorts...places I want to see in Florida before I move to Pennsylvania. Of course I'll be back to the Sunshine State often, but I just feel like I need to do some of these before I officially leave.
-Visit the ancient monastery of St. Bernard de Clairvaux Church. The oldest building in Florida, and even the U.S., I believe.
- Float in a tube down the Ichetucknee.
- Go to St. Augustine again. It's been years!
- Explore Hatchbend again. I'm literally related to probably the whole town. Good to go there and get back in touch with my Southern roots before I head north!
- See Thomas Edison's house in Ft. Myers.
- Visit KSC again. Have to.
- and YES, do the whole Disney thing! I can count on one hand the number of times I've been there, so it still holds magic for me!
- Stop by the Billie Swamp Safari and Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum.
That's it for now, but it is a list in progress. Any ideas or thoughts on other places to see or things to do?

Ya know, I've always regretted not seeing the African Queen when we lived in the Keys. How about the University of Tampa?
If I were able to 'tour' Florida, I'd start in the Dry Tortugas. I'd skip all the 'world' stuff, but hit Lowry Park and Lion Country Safari. Let's see, I'd have to visit Ybor City, Cross Creek, Britton Hill, Morikami Museum, maybe dive the Florida reef tract and hitch a ride in Rachel Veitch's Comet. 8-] If I could time it just right, I'd visit Tarpon Springs on Epiphany, Sopchoppy for the worm gruntin', Kissimmee during rodeo days, Barberville's fall jamboree (formerly called Pioneer Days), mail my Christmas cards from Christmas, see if Herbie K's is still around...
Dawg, now I wanna go on that tour! And I'm starting to remember why I refuse to ever leave! ;-}

Sophie! I've seen the African Queen and she doesn't look like she did in the movie, but it still gave me a rush to see her in person.
I've done Lion Country Safari, Ybor City, rodeos in Kissimmee and have swam the reefs...but YES, I need to add Cross Creek and Morikami to my list. I also want to hit Cassadega and Gib Town.
