An Unknown Future

Wow. I'm not feeling too good today. I'm worried about the future of this country. I guess time will tell...

I have a feeling, though, that this time next year, alot of people will be kicking themselves for voting the way they did.

But, who knows...I may be wrong. I hope that I am. I hope that this guy can do a good job. Yes, only time will tell.

And on a side note - I am so SICK and TIRED of all this "first Black (or African-American) President" crap. Was he not born in America? Gee, to me that makes him an American. Plain and simple. Prejudice will never go away until all the labels are gone. And hey, folks, he is equally a "white" person, too...so just cut the crap.

You are so right! This man has a big job to do. We can only hope he lives up to his "Words". This time next year we will seeing his gray hair.

I think hope, grace, and progress are much better to think about than negativity.

i'd feel a whole lot better if i had any hope that grace would be displayed and progress would be made...as it is & based on the record, all i can reasonably expect is a "present" & that won't cut it

*sigh*. I had 8 years of bitching about Bush. Alright, you get 8 years of bitching about Obama. Sorry, but I am so irritated right now by everyone. Apparently being lied to is ok. Where are my WMDs? And where is Bin Laden? Saddam Hussein being hanged is not enough for my tax money. Give me better education, environmental protection, regulation on idiotic financial institutions that think they can prey on those with little education, and some respect in this world.

And someone who shoots wolves from an airplane wasn't enough for me either.

*sorry Christine. I am just fed up at the moment. *

It's ok, Misti...I'm jus tired of all of it right now. I'll be happy to listen to the radio without hearing any adds, or hearing anyone bash anyone else. You cannot think that McCain is the same as Bush...two completely different people there. I hope that I won't have 4 years of bitching about Obama!!! I hope he proves me wrong! I really do...I just don't have alot of faith in this guy that came from nowhere, wasn't even a senator for an entire year yet before running for president. His charisma is what got him where he is today. Now, we just have to see if America made the right choice. I really hope so...

I'd like to think those with Bush Derangement Syndrome will get better as time passes.

But I think they'll be chanting "Where's Obama?" and "Where are the WMDS" for the rest of their natural lives.

For the record, Bush listed 18 separate reasons for taking action in Iraq in the Authorization that most of the Senate (including Joe-the-Biden) signed off on.

The possibility that Saddam had WMD was ONE of those EIGHT-TEEN reasons. There were no Lies told on that score. Ever.

I think he's a RINO and his Second Term was pretty bad. But lets not call someone a liar about things they never ever lied about.

I feel the same way! 3 of our kids voted that way and hubs says if he ever hears them say they need something he's going to tell them to go ask Barack! Our other two kids are extremely upset and hubs is TICKED, he says I better go out and get a job.
