Everyone knows about the devastation Hurricane Ike caused in Galveston, Bolivar and Houston. My friend Misti over at http://www.oceanicwilderness.com/ is trying to raise some money for the Galveston Humane Society. Misti is from Texas and went to Texas A&M in Galveston, so her heart is really in this.
She is a very talented and creative woman. She paints, crochets, gardens and takes some beautiful photographs. She has a shop on Etsy where she sells her wares. Check it out ETSY
