You can take the GRITS out of Florida, but you can't take Florida out of the GRITS!

Something you wouldn't expect

I pass this Buddhist Temple often in the mornings going to work. It's so beautiful, I thought I'd share it with you, though the pictures really don't capture it well.

The Wat Buddgharangsi Temple just celebrated it's 26th year in the Redland's back in June.

The Miami Herald had a nice article about it. Click HERE if you'd like to read it for yourself.

The first time I saw this place, I couldn't believe my eyes! Out here !?!?! In the Redland's where they grow veggies and raise horses??? I think it's pretty cool and goes to show that, in Florida, you never know what you may see when you're out for a drive!

I remember you telling me about this place. I still have not seen it in person. Of course it would help if I knew the address. *wink*

Wow, that is really interesting. I wonder if anyone could attend a ceremony there, or even just walk in to visit? Way cool!

I think they welcome visitors. I know someone who used to stop by once in a while...maybe a phone call would be in order before making the trip out there?
