You can take the GRITS out of Florida, but you can't take Florida out of the GRITS!

A First!

Ok folks, this may mean absolutely nothing to you, but this really is a pretty big deal...two friends of mine, Chris and Misti have been spending ALOT of time out in an undisclosed area of the Everglades, trying to catch a Sphinx moth pollinating a Ghost orchid. Well, they did last week and got it on video. As far as we know, this is the first time it has ever been captured on video. I saw the "movie" and it's really awesome. The moth is the size of a hummingbird and is thought to be the only type capable of pollinating the Ghosts due to it long probiscus.

Look for National Geographic or The Discovery Channel to do a story on this one.

Yes. It is that big of a deal. Remember you heard it here first!
