You can take the GRITS out of Florida, but you can't take Florida out of the GRITS!

My butterfly garden

For the sake of posting something, here are a few pics of the butterfly garden in my backyard. I need to add some more attracting plants, but the Zebra Longwings enjoy the Firebush. The Porterweed is doing good, but my Lantana...well, the hub keeps whacking it with the weedeater. Grrrr.....
This is the side. I didn't plant the palm. It just kind of popped up one day.
This is the front of it...
It's a nice little area, but I do need to work on it some more!

Hi! I think the garden is beautiful!

As a Floridian, I love tent-camping during our somewhat short season. After reading in your blog about November 15, I will definitely plan to camp then and appreciate nature and wildlife! Crikey!

Oh, you've made me homesick again! I miss the warm zone SO MUCH! I can't get over the size of your dracena! And porterweed! And... and... and... Your lantanas might take a beating, but at least they keep coming back. You couldn't kill those things if you tried. LOL!
