Laura over at Vitamin Sea tagged me for a fun little meme. I know I need to post about my weekend, but am just being lazy right now.
So this is the deal:
1. Pick up the nearst book.
2. Open to page 123
3. Find the 5th sentence
4. Post the next three sentences
5. Tag five people, and acknowledge who tagged you.
Soooo...here it is -
The book is Daughter of Fortune by Isabel Allende. Page 123, the 6th, 7th and 8th sentences are as follows:
"...They say that the steamships plow right ahead; they are not at the mercy of the wind, and are bigger and faster. Sailing ships are a thing of the past."
Feliciano went ahead with his plans, but experience had taught him not to disdain his wife's financial premonitions.
I'm not even that far ahead yet in this one. I brought it with me over the weekend, thinking I could catch up, but noooo.... I ended up having no time for reading! I will say that so far, I do like this book. A little slow at first, but it's picking up. Not like the books I usually read, but change is good, right? I'll let y'all know more when I get it finished. In the meantime, I will say that I highly recommend Duma Key by Stephen King. Awesome. 5 Thumbs Up with a snap!
Oh, so now I have to tag 5 people. Hmmm....ok....I'll tag the following folks. If I tag you, do not feel like you have to do this!!! No obligations here!
1. Suhzon - http://www.urolive.blogspot.com/
2. "Penny" - http://www.dungareesablaze.com/
3. Misti (I know you're out of town, but maybe when you get back?)- http://www.oceanicwilderness.com/
4. Sophie Mae (sorry to tag you again, but I'd like to hear what you're reading!) - http://www.tacachale.blogspot.com/
5. Hmmm....okaaaay...how about Chris - http://mscellania.blogspot.com/
*******************************************************************
Just a side note: I am through with the situation in the previous post. I have better things to write about and think about than that. I am not a mean person, but push me too far for no good reason and I'll fight back, especially to defend my friends. Period. End of it! I wasn't going to name names or post any links, but since the other person seems to think it's ok, here is the link to the blog in question: http://www.queeniesplace.com

My Meme is posted and it is a yawner -
Hey, I'm happy you're here. :) Hope the summer is going good. :)
My meme has finally been posted.
I expect you realise I was away when you tagged me. I promise I will do this meme once I get myself organised and back into the swing of blogging.
