You can take the GRITS out of Florida, but you can't take Florida out of the GRITS!

Well, Hello! Please don't pee on me.

This Cuban Treefrog (Osteopilus septentrionalis) was in my office this morning. One of the girls I work with shooed it outside where it immediately turned and jumped onto the window by the door.

I do not like frogs. I can handle snakes, lizards, turtles and gators, but not frogs. They will pee on you!

I know that from experience.

But it was fun taking some pictures of him before he got camera shy and disappeared.

You got a lot of cute photos of the little guy though. :)

Regarding the Sandhills, yeah, there's the National Crane Foundation up here where they built the plane thingie to help migration many moons ago and Sandhills breed here in the spring. My goal this spring is to get a shot of the babies. :)

I'm beginning to think you are living in a reptile preserve somewhere!

Again, my Punkin would love to live around there. Of course he'd probably try to pet one of the gators....

I've been peed on by one of those things... They sure are cute, though.

I love frogs. Not real crazy about frog pee, though, so I'm just careful how I hold them.

One rainy night in Dublin, I found a frog on a bicycle path. It was the weirdest place to find a frog and I was thrilled.

Gorgeous header!!!!

We have the cuban tree frogs all over our front porch light, too. They're supposed to be invasive species, but I don't know how to get rid of them!

Well, frogs are pretty scary, not like those other things you don't have a problem with LOL!
I think we are too cold up here for the Spanish speaking treefrogs.

Yes Laura, they are invasive, but were introduced here in the 1800s, so....I don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon!

Guess you could call them "Naturalized Floridians".

Yes Marc, I added a link to your new site. Do I have an RSS feed? Beats me! Too technical for me, but I'll check it out and see what I can do.

Hope Eliana gets to join you soon!
Be safe and have fun.
