Yesterday we were out driving around and my son spotted this guy hangin on a fence alongside a canal. It's a Basilisk. Not native. Very fast. In fact, they can run across the water.
Friday, after parrot watching, I was bored at work and decided to take a few pics of the things that are blooming where I work.
Surinam Cherries (not native, but I DO love jelly made out of 'em!)
Lantana canescens, aka Hammock shrubverbena. Extremely rare!
Necklace Pod
Flaveria linearis
Bahama Senna
(Cassia chapmanii)

Those Surinam cherries look delicious! Gotta love nature photography. Nice ID'ing !
Hey, I saw some surinam cherries yesterday in Haines City. There was a bush on the land of the individual that owns the Owasso Shalom clothing Optional cache. Erik thought they might be wild tomatoes.
Thought of you. Would have taken pic but we didn't have a camera on us.
You have some of the neatest things in Florida! I love getting to see them through you. :)
That lizard is creepily cool!
