Fun Monday~ How I met your father

Janet ~ http://fromtheplanetofjanet.blogspot.com/ ~ from another planet wants to hear how we met our SO...

Describe your meeting with your spouse/significant other. I especially want to hear "meet cute" stories. And it doesn't have to be your actual current sig/other. Perhaps the "meet cute" story is a former boy/girlfriend... or even a best friend. Illustrate with photos, of course.

Well, nothing very spectacular here... My boss was doing interviews one day. My future hub walked in and gave me his filled out paperwork. No big deal. No fireworks. No, "Oh my GOD, who IS that man?!?!?!" Nothing at all. My boss interviewed him, and sitting right across the room divider, I could hear everything. After my FH (future hub) left, I told my boss, "Do NOT hire that one! He is just trouble. I can tell!" My boss even said. "Yeah. It's like he's in the witness protection program or something!"

My boss hired him anyway.

We were married the following year and 3 years ago I had our son (that is a story better worthy of a Fun Monday!).

I still wonder about the witness protection program..

So now that you've married him - is he really trouble? I bet yall have a good laugh retelling this story!

Work places and bars seem to be the best meeting places!

It's a boring story, I know. But, yeah, we laugh about that interview day! And, yes, Blue Momma...he is trouble with a capital T!

Hmmmm...maybe you should make up a story revealing his former life before the Witness Protection Progam!

Aren't you glad your boss didn't listen to you? Thanks for sharing.

That seems to be like Darnell from My Name is Earl, with the Witness Protection Program & all. Glad your boss decided to hire him anyways.

Funny! Of course, if he WAS in the Witness Protection Program, would he tell you? or are you part of his "cover"?

Little did you know at the time that he was YOUR kind of trouble!

It's funny you mention the witness protection program, I used to tease my husband that he was a hit man. He works such weird hours. :)

robinella took the words right out of my mouth.

I was going to say the same thing.

It must have been your heart warning you, more than your head.

That is really funny. You said he was trouble and then you marry him. Also funny, the comment about the witness protection program. Good post.

Never trust first instincts. They sometimes are not always right. And obviously, yours wasn't. Glad to hear that you got together and lived happily ever after.

Your story made me smile. Sometimes those that cause trouble are the most fun.

Thanks to everyone for all the nice comments. I wasn't expecting much since my post was so short!

(I still wonder about the Witness Protection Program...his name is George and yet his sisters call him "Mike". Hmmm.....)
